Photographer Uses Forced Perspective On Toy Cars

According to Wikipedia:

“Forced perspective is a technique that employs optical illusion to make an object appear farther away, closer, larger or smaller than it actually is. It is used primarily in photography, filmmaking and architecture. It manipulates human visual perception through the use of scaled objects and the correlation between them and the vantage point of the spectator or camera.”

Photographer Michael Paul Smith has been creating scale models for over 25 years. He has developed excellent results in combining real trees, buildings and landscapes in the background of his toy cars in his photographs. Smith’s photography is really mind-bending as it fantastically fools the viewer into thinking the small-sized toy cars are real vintage cars. Scroll down to see more of his creations.
